mission of St. Rita Catholic School, a parish community school,
is to educate children in accordance with the educational
ministry of the Catholic Church. We strive to foster spiritual,
intellectual, physical, and social growth within each child
to become a witness to Christian values as a member of our
global community. As a part of this the School invites parents
to become active participants in their children's education
since they are, as the Church affirms, the primary educators

National Distinguished Principal
Congratulations
to Dr. Elena Hines for being honored as a 2007 National
Distinguished Principal by
the U.S. Department of Education and the
National Association of Elementary School Principals.
She is one of 61 elementary and middle school principals who
received this award October 19 at the awards banquet at the
Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. This prestigious
award recognizes Dr. Hines's accomplishments and continued
leadership in helping children develop a lifelong love of
learning.
