P.S.I.A.
(A.K.A) Private School Interscholastic Association program
is designed to support the basic academic curriculum.
It is an academic competitive program primarily motivates
students to:
-
find new excitement in learning
-
achieve a higher mastery level
-
receive recognition/awards for academic excellence

St.
Rita School will participate in Private Schools Interscholastic
Association (PSIA) this year. This will be our second
year to be involved in this academic competition. We
have learned many new things; met new people from other schools
in Texas; and, had a fun time competing at the district and
state levels.
Based on your student's desire, ability and maturity,
he or she may want to try-out for one of the 19 contests
offered by PSIA. Please visit the PSIA website
for detailed information on each category event:

The PSIA District AA meet will be held on March 23, 2007 at
St. Monica School. Please take a moment to talk with
your child(ren) about PSIA. Please, also, keep in mind that
parental participation is required if your student(s) will
be part of the St. Rita PSIA Team. This may include
coaching (to begin in the next month) a subject in preparation
for the contest, judging, grading, monitoring, and other jobs
during the event contests.
Please review the materials listed below, and contact Monique
Losson (losson1@sbcglobal.net
) or Kim Robbs (krobbs@strita.net
) with any questions.
We're looking forward to another spirited and rewarding experience
with PSIA at the district and state competitions.
