Advisory Council

The school Advisory Council is comprised of school parents who advise the pastor and principal. The Council establishes the overall policies of the school. Its actions are subject to the pastor’s approval and to such policies and regulations that might be promulgated by the Office of Catholic Schools and the Catholic Schools Advisory Board of the Diocese of Dallas.

A schedule of meetings is published in the school directory, but generally the Council meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the school library. These meetings are open to all parish and school families. Guests are welcome to ask questions from 7:00 to 7:15 p.m., after which the Council agenda will commence. Requests to address the Council as part of the agenda must be written and submitted to any Council members 14 days prior to regular meetings.  The request must include a detailed reason for the reason for the request, The status of the request will be communicated to the requestor.

Elections are held in the spring. Three members are elected each year for a three-year term. At least seven of the elected members must have children in the school at the beginning of their term.
