What are Spartan Bucks?

Spartan Bucks, formerly known as SCRIP, is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase Spartan Bucks, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash for actual face value. You know those cards you see in the grocery store? You can buy the same cards through St. Rita and benefit your school!! By planning ahead you can use Spartan Bucks to purchase everyday expenses like groceries, dining, clothing, entertainment, office supplies, and home improvement needs. Plus, now is the time to plan your holiday gift giving ideas and meals using Spartan Bucks. We have many merchants to choose from whether you are buying for relatives, friends, teachers, business employees, and/or clients. Spartan Bucks is great for sharing with those in need this holiday season too.

How do Spartan Bucks generate revenue for St. Rita School ?

With every purchase, you can earn revenue for St. Rita Catholic School (average sales contribution to St. Rita from the Spartan Bucks program is 6%). St. Rita is happy to announce that proceeds earned from the Spartan Bucks sales are used to assist the school's scholarship program. Scholarships requests are determined through the Princeton Review application process. 

How can you purchase Spartan Bucks scrip?

Spartan Bucks are sold every Monday and Thursday morning from 7:45 to 8:15 AM, every Friday morning before 8:00 AM mass on the plaza and after mass in the narthex. You can also order by sending an email to spartanbucks@strita.net or call Kelley to place your order. We also sell the 2 nd full weekend of every month after Mass at 5:30 on Saturday evenings and Sunday after 9:00 and 10:45 Mass. Visit with a Spartan Bucks representative in the narthex and pick up an order form – it is that easy! In most cases we can fill your Spartan Buck order form while you wait.
