Mrs. Franklin's Kindergarten must have brought the SNOW to Dallas! After reading The Snowy Day, by Ezra Jack Keats, and Snowballs, by Lois Ehlert, with Mrs. Mount, the snow began to fall. Hurray for SNOW!

When Halloween falls on a school day, it's a great opportunity to polish up my storytelling skills and treat Middle School to a spooky story or two. Sixth Graders took awhile to settle down but soon were drawn into the building suspense of "The Severed Hand". They especially enjoyed passing around the gelatin-filled surgical glove that I'd prepared for the climax!
