Faith Formation

As stated in our Strategic Plan, our students, nourished in the Catholic faith, will be invited to encounter Jesus Christ, authentically following Him spiritually, morally and sacrificially in the midst of the Church and in the joy of faith, hope and love. Tenants of the Catholic faith are woven throughout the core curriculum.
  • Our Parocial Vicar, Fr. Michael Baynham, serves as school Chaplain and actively participates in catechesis of our students through regular Wednesday programming by grade level and sacramental preparation classes for our 8th graders preparing for Confirmation.
  • Students participate in prayer daily in their classrooms and attend all-school Mass on Fridays.
  • Younger students are paired with older students as Prayer Buddies to provide leadership in school Masses and other events on campus.
  • Middle school students attend annual retreats and participate in service projects outside of the classroom.
Please view the video below as our Dean of Student Formation, Mrs. Megan Lechler, speaks in more detail about Faith Formation programs at St. Rita Catholic School.
