ABOUT ME...
This will be my third year at St. Rita and fifth year teaching. I have previously taught Social Studies (7th grade last year) and ELAR (8th grade in 2019-2020). Prior to joining the St. Rita family I taught 7th grade Social Studies. I was a History major in college and I love the subject, learning all the stories of the people who shaped our nation and our state! I've also always enjoyed reading and writing along with the creative process behind it. I am very excited for the upcoming year and getting to know all of you and your families. I also have my Masters in Marketing and worked in the corporate world for many years at both small and global companies in the non-profit, business and, sports & entertainment fields.
WHEN I AM NOT AT ST. RITA...
I like to spend time with my family and our two dogs. I like being outdoors and being active. I also spend a lot of time in basketball gyms around DFW and any other places their activities take me as they are very active in sports. Personally, I love music and you will almost always hear some playing in the classroom when you come in during breaks and before/after school. What kind of music do I like? Pretty much anything except today’s Top 40 and what our kids consider Rap (sorry, I grew up on old school rap!). You may hear old school rock, alternative, jazz, blues, or some reggae depending on the day and my mood.
