8th Grade BlackOut Poems
April is Poetry Month and our 8th Grade classes created "found" poems using the blackout method and pages from discarded books.  Colorful artwork adds to their appeal.

In Memory of Callie Cole

St. Rita teachers and friends smile when they recall the free-spirited seven year-old Callie.  She loved running around at recess and played soccer with abandon. Full of fun and laughter, Callie was a friend to all of her classmates.  Twenty years ago this year, the Lord called Callie Cole home to Him and, to mark this anniversary, her family and friends have gifted the school library’s Callie Cole Collection with almost 50 beautiful new books and additional funds. The young readers’ collection is a loving tribute to Callie’s life as she remains in our hearts and will always be a part of our St. Rita Community.

2nd grade students enjoy the 40+ beautiful new books gifted to the Snyder Learning Center/St. Rita Library by family and friends of Callie Cole.
