Welcome to my 3rd grade web page! This is my 23rd year here at St. Rita and I couldn't imagine a better place to work! I grew up in the Dallas area in which I attended St. Monica and Ursuline Academy. I have Bachelor's Degree in Education from Texas Tech. Go Red Raiders! However, I am a huge Notre Dame fan as well! My parents met each other in South Bend, Indiana and we have visited there many times over the years. My great-grandfather's construction built the original campus for Notre Dame and he was also Knute Rockne's godfather!
Reflex: In third grade, we require 3 green lights per week. Each week starts on a Monday and ends on a Sunday. Students need to be fluent in all operations in order to be successful next year in fourth grade. This includes knowing their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.

Accelerated Reader: Students are required to take 4 tests per quarter. These tests need to be within their ZPD range or they will not be allowed to take them. It is important for them to do well on these tests. Their goal is to make at least an 85 average overall. This counts as one test grade in reading per quarter.
