Hello! My name is Dr. Kellie Scherer, and I am ecstatic about joining the St. Rita community as assistant principal of curriculum and instruction. I have worked in a variety of schools and positions over the course of my career including public, private, and parish schools in elementary school, middle school, and administration. I have a passion for math and science and specialized as a 6-8th grade math and science content teacher before taking on the role of principal at a school of 300 in Menlo Park, California, where I served for two years. I hold my BA and MA in Developmental Education, both from The University of California, Berkeley. I also hold my doctorate in Catholic School Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
My role includes supporting faculty training and Professional Learning Teams as well as working with the Student Success
Center team. I will engage with student related issues in Pre-K through the 4th grade. I look forward to partnering with the students, parents, and faculty at St. Rita to continue preparing our students to become their best selves!
