When
10/28/2016

Get High on Life (GHOL) week is celebrated this year from October 24th to the 28th. It is also referred to as Red Ribbon Week, which is when St. Rita students celebrate saying NO to underage drinking, drugs, and tobacco use. This year's theme centers around “March Madness” - "Slam Dunk Drugs and Alcohol."

The GHOL Board has been working hard since August to create a fun filled week. It has a fun and informative week of activities planned to educate students about the dangers of underage drinking and illegal drug use including a GHOL Mass, anti-drug and alcohol pledges signed by the entire student body, videos starring the GHOL Board, classroom visits by GHOL, dynamic speakers, and fun activities and contests for the student body. The board also supports St. Mary of Caramel School's GHOL week. All activities are age appropriate. The GHOL board consists of 38 students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. It is chaired by Laura Inkman, Heather McClure, and Janet Dunkerley.

The GHOL students have worked really hard to put together a fun, yet educational week for all the students. Please remember to impress upon your children the dangers of drug, alcohol, and tobacco use. It's never too late to start these discussions with your kids.
