Biography

I am a passionate educator who was born and raised in Dallas. I have two awesome children that attended Catholic school from elementary through high school. I have three dogs, 2 Frenchies, and a Beagle, whom I adore. My love for history began in college with my first Western Civilization class and has been going strong ever since. I earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis on history-based sociology.  

I love to travel the world and gain insight into different cultures and customs. I am thrilled to share my international travel experiences with my 6th-grade world history students. Additionally, my interest in the American Revolution has led me to explore the historical sites of the United States, which I enjoy sharing with my 5th-grade students.

I have taught for 22 years and was previously at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School teaching 5th -8th-grade social studies. I am blessed to be here at St. Rita Catholic School and share its mission to empower students to reach their potential as learners and servant leaders through faith, hope, love, and the joyful pursuit of knowledge.
