Biography
My name is Elena Koslan. This year will be my sixth year at St. Rita, and I will be teaching 6th grade Science. I have 14 years of teaching experience with the Diocese of Dallas, of which the last 11 years have been in Middle School Science (5-8). Science is such a fun and engaging subject! I love teaching with hands-on activities and relating concepts to the real world, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas and received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Education and Psychology. While at UTD, I also earned my Master of Arts in Teaching Science Education.
I was born and raised in the Dallas area. I proudly attended Catholic Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. In addition to being a science nerd, I also enjoy cooking, crafting, quilting, visiting with family and friends, and most of all traveling the world with my husband. I have visited a majority of the United States as well as over 20 foreign countries. I look forward to an exciting new school year!
