Moves and Turns Challenge

Students will:
Learn how to execute controlled movements (e.g., straight move, point turn, curved move) using a Driving Base
 
Challenge:
  • find a way to move Driving Base for 84 cm/33 in.
 
Students will use:
  • LEGO Mindstorms set
  • EV3 Classroom App
  • measuring tape
 
Building Instructions

Objects and Obstacles Challenge

Students will:
Use the Ultrasonic Sensor to detect an object and respond to it
 
Challenge:
  • Program Driving Base to beep faster or louder as it gets closer to the Cuboid.

Grab and Release Challenge

 
Students will:
  • Create a motorized tool for the Driving Base
  • Explore how to move and release objects
 
Challenge:
  • Program Driving Base to use the Ultrasonic Sensor to stop near the Cuboid and then lower its arm to collect and return the Cuboid.
 
Students will use:
  • LEGO Mindstorms set
  • EV3 Classroom App
