Kate Avila's Bio

Welcome to 4th Grade! 

 

My name is Kate Avila, and this is my 16th year teaching, 15th year in the Diocese of Dallas, and 5th year as a 4th-grade teacher at St. Rita. I started my career as a first-grade teacher in Arvada, Colorado before moving to Dallas to teach at St. Monica. I’ve taught first, third, and fourth grade. I love teaching fourth-grade math! 

 

I was born and raised in Dallas and attended St. Rita for a few years before moving to Canada. I graduated from Regis University, in Denver, with a degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children, and fur baby. We love being active, playing outside, and participating in sports, especially soccer and gymnastics!
