Mrs. Regina Wash
Hi friends!
My name is Regina Wash and I am honored to be teaching Kindergarten here at St. Rita. I am a product of the Diocese of Dallas attending Christ the King and St. Mark in Plano. I graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2009. I continued my Catholic education at Spring Hill College, in Mobile, Alabama. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a special interest in learning accommodation and differentiation. July of 2023, I earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership in Catholic Education at the University of Notre Dame, through the three year Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program. This will be my twelfth year as an early child educator and eighth year at St. Rita. My husband Derek and I live directly across the street, so if you see us out front please give us a honk and wave. In March, we welcomed our first child, Edwin into our family. We feel so fortunate to be a part of St. Rita's School and Parish community.
Now, welcome to Kindergarten! I am blessed to work with such an amazing team, especially my new co-teacher Anne Rhodes. Our room, K113, is pure magic! Our classroom is a safe place for students to be themselves, learn about God’s love, and strive to become the best learners they can be. I empower my students to build up their mental toolbox in order to face challenges with perseverance and a growth mindset. I firmly believe in educating the whole child in body, mind, and spirit. Kindergarten is FUN! We play, explore, and learn using hands-on experiences that bring lessons to life.
I love St. Rita with all my heart and feel so blessed to be here with you. Please feel free to reach out for any support you might need.
WE ARE ST. RITA!
