Mrs. Sarah Darnell

Welcome to third grade!

I have always had a love of learning and a passion for teaching. My three siblings and I attended St. Rita, and I was always inspired by my teachers. Since kindergarten, I dreamed of working in a Catholic school, combining my two passions: faith and education. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in elementary education and a specialization in literacy. I am also ESL certified. I have a masters degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from Boston College and was part of the Catholic Leadership Cohort. I have prior experience teaching in Austin and at an elementary school in South Dallas. This will be my sixth year teaching at St. Rita. I taught first grade at St. Rita for two years before moving up to third grade. Each day, I fall more in love with teaching and look forward to learning with each new group of students!
