Mrs. Brothers

I am so blessed to be a part of the St. Rita Community and look forward to an exciting year of learning.  I am originally from Joplin, Missouri, where I attended high school and graduated from Missouri Southern State University.  I have called McKinney home since 1997.  I am married to John Brothers and have two beautiful children.  Brendan graduated from Jesuit in 2014 and is a graduate of Texas Tech.  Erin recently graduated from the Juilliard School as a dance major and works in New York City.  The most recent member of our family is Marty, our quarantine kitty!

This is my 18th year in education, with the majority of that time teaching 8th-grade English/Language Arts/Reading.  Additionally, I am an advisor to the National Junior Honor Society and an 8th-grade advisor.   I am passionate about reading and look forward to sharing my love of books with students.
