Biography

My name is Carly Hack. I am thrilled to join the  second grade team at Saint Rita’s this year. This is my twentieth year of teaching. I started my educational career in Houston, Texas as a first grade teacher and spent the past eighteen years as a Catholic School Teacher at Saint John XXIII Catholic School in Scottsdale, Arizona.  I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and minors in Math, Science, and Integrated Creative Arts. I also have my Structured English Immersion endorsement, Catechist Certification, Picture Perfect Stem Presenter, and am a certified Autism Specialist.

I absolutely love working with children and I feel blessed everyday to be able to teach in a school that believes in a Catholic faith-based education. I am Catechist ministry certified and look forward to taking more classes that continually strengthen my faith.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. Brayden is  turning thirteen years old and is excited to enter seventh grade here at Saint Rita’s and participate in the school sports. Brielle is ten and full of smiles! She is excited to be in fifth grade this year.  I have such a grateful heart that both my children are attending  this wonderful school with me.  God truly blessed me when he made me a mother.

Being a teacher is a very rewarding experience and I learn something new everyday from my students! Children really are our future and everyday I am thankful to be on this journey lighting the way for them.

Philosophy

I am aware that each student has their own individual needs and it is my philosophy that I, as a teacher, need to discover the most effective way for students to learn today by meeting each one where they are.  Christ meets us all where we are and I am thankful for that each day.   I challenge my students while also challenging myself to grow and continually learn new ways to ensure success of all children.  I believe that parents are the primary educators and I look forward to walking beside you during this educational journey for your child.

May God Bless You All!
