Nikki Savage

My name is Nikki Savage, and I am thrilled to serve as the 5th grade Math teacher at Saint Rita! Having grown up in the area and attended a Dallas Diocesan elementary school before graduating from Ursuline Academy, Catholic education has always been an important part of my life. I continued my studies at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth (Go Frogs!).

I began my teaching career as a PE teacher, but quickly discovered my passion was in the classroom. Over the past 10 years, I have had the joy of teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades within the diocese. Throughout my years in education, I have developed a deep love for helping students build confidence in math and discover that they are capable of more than they think.

I love creating an interactive, hands-on classroom where students are actively engaged in their learning. Math should not just be something we do on paper — it should be something students experience, explore, and understand. I enjoy showing students how math connects to everyday life, helping them see how the skills we practice in class apply to real-world situations. Whether we are solving multi-step word problems, working with fractions and decimals, or collaborating in small groups, my goal is for every student to feel supported, challenged, and successful.

Fifth grade is such an important year for building strong math foundations and preparing for middle school. I look forward to partnering with families and guiding students as they grow not only as mathematicians, but also as confident learners and problem-solvers. I am so grateful to be part of the Saint Rita community and excited for a wonderful year together!
