Bio

My name is Aimee duPont & I am so excited to be starting my first year here at St. Rita as a 1st Grade Instructional Aide. I love working with children, and I feel so blessed to be joining this amazing school community. For the past five years, I have been a preschool teacher at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Preschool. I know many St. Rita students started their educational journeys there, and I look forward to seeing some of my sweet little friends again, as well as making new ones. I was born in San Antonio to a military family. My family and I lived abroad for a couple of years before returning to Florida. I attended Catholic grade school and high school in Jacksonville, FL, and later graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Interior Design. I worked for a design firm until the birth of my oldest child, after which I transitioned to become a stay-at-home mom and a parent volunteer at a local Catholic school. Before moving to Dallas, I lived in Florida, Georgia, and Northern Virginia. I have four children- Matthew (Jesuit c/o ’19, Gonzaga University c/o ’23, currently in Graduate School at American University, Washington D.C.), Clare (a rising Junior at Bishop Lynch), Alex (a rising Freshman at Jesuit), and Emma (a rising 6th Grader at St. Thomas Aquinas). I look forward to meeting everyone and assisting your amazing first-grade teachers to make this a wonderful year.
