Bio

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rovegno, and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten at St. Rita Catholic School! This year marks my 11th year in elementary education and my second-year teaching Kindergarten. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English from San Diego State University and received my Early Childhood–6th Grade teaching certification in 2013.

I began my teaching career at Holy Family Catholic School in Irving, where I taught third grade. In 2016, I joined the St. Rita Catholic School community, teaching both second and third grade. I later taught third grade at Good Shepherd Episcopal School in Dallas before taking some time away from the classroom after the birth of my son. I was thrilled to return to St. Rita and begin a new chapter teaching Kindergarten.

My husband, Richard, and I have been married for 13 years, and we have two wonderful children, Kathryn (10) and James (3). Kathryn is going into 5^th grade at St. Rita.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy cooking, traveling, reading, and, of course, spending time with my family.

As both a teacher and a mom, I understand what a privilege it is to be entrusted with a child’s education and growth. I believe children learn best when they feel loved, supported, confident, and excited to come to school each day. My goal is to create a joyful and nurturing classroom where every child feels valued while developing confidence, independence, strong work habits, and a lifelong love of learning. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community here at St. Rita.
