2025-2026 school year.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Math. You are in for an exciting year. I promise in my classes to work hard to make sure you have the best mathematical experience while having fun at the same time! I am passionate about the teaching profession, willing to add value and make a difference to a student’s learning. I found my happiness in students’ understanding!
I was born and raised in Kuwait, but I’m proud to come from a family originally from Bethlehem, Palestine. That deep heritage has given me the special opportunity to visit Bethlehem often, and it continues to hold a very special place in my heart. I earned my bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Jordan.
Throughout my 26+ years in education, I’ve had the joy and privilege of teaching math in five different countries: Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Canada, and the United States. Before moving to Texas in the summer of 2016, I spent 10 wonderful years teaching math at St. John Brebeuf Catholic High School in Abbotsford, British Columbia, as part of the Diocese of Vancouver (CISVA) in Canada. Our move to Texas came after our children completed their bachelor's degrees at the University of British Columbia.
My husband George and I are blessed with three amazing children—Issa, Cathren, and Merna. Over the past seven years, our family has continued to grow. We’ve welcomed two wonderful sons-in-law, a beautiful granddaughter, and a precious grandson. We are now joyfully awaiting the arrival of our second granddaughter — thanks be to God.
This is my 10th year at St. Rita, and I am incredibly grateful to be part of such a welcoming and faith-filled community. I look forward to another wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and many blessings!
