Our Sister School - St. Mary of Carmel

St. Mary of Carmel is located in south west Dallas and is building the Kingdom of Heaven by forming saints and scholars. St. Mary of Carmel School strives to nurture the whole individual in a faith-filled Catholic environment.  Add Link: www.smcschool.org

This relationship between the two schools is very unique and special.  It is much more than financial.  St. Rita is a support center and resource that the SMC students, teachers and parents can rely on to come into action in any capacity as needed.  We facilitate a food drive, coat drive, supply drive and have all the resources collected, sorted and delivered.

How can I help?
Through the efforts of volunteers St. Rita School is involved in the following programs that support SMC (click to learn more):

With all these different collaborations and unique programs, we hope to install a sense of humility, love and compassion in the SRCS students, teachers and families.  Each mention and example of love, giving and stewardship will be something we all hope to expand on and continue throughout our lives.

“St. Mary of Carmel is blessed to partner with the St. Rita Catholic Community... I have been a part of the SMC family for 10 years and never cease to be amazed by the generosity of St. Rita's. At SMC, it is important for us to serve the whole child, the whole family, so that students can focus on learning instead of other basic needs. Through events/activities such as the food drive, coat drive, school supply drive, adopt-a-family and more, St. Rita's allows SMC to provide for the needs of all of our families, while affording the school the opportunity to focus on academic and spiritual growth. Truly, I have not witnessed a community so ready to mobilize at the St. Rita Community and cannot imagine SMC fully fulfilling our mission without the help and support that St. Rita provides. At SMC we strive to build the kingdom of heaven on earth by forming saints and scholars and it is a blessing to see that Kingdom being built by the work of the St. Rita community.”
