Biography

My name is Violi Perez-Rios, and I will be starting my 25th year as a teacher. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was raised in Miami, Florida. I have two amazing children, ages 18 and 16. Before having my babies, I received a Master’s degree in Reading Education and in Educational Leadership. I was blessed to work at the same public school for twenty years, where I really learned to hone in on my craft of teaching students with disabilities and second language learners. We have been living in Dallas for five years, relocating from Miami, Florida. I truly love teaching and refer to my students as "my babies". It is always my goal to ensure that each student realizes their truest potential and have fun learning along the way.
