Biography

My name is Violi Perez-Rios, and I will be starting my 22nd year as a teacher. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was raised in Miami, Florida. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 21 years and have two amazing children, ages 15 and 13. Before having my babies, I received a Master’s degree in Reading Education and in Educational Leadership. I was blessed to work at the same public school for twenty years, where I really learned to hone in on my craft of teaching students with disabilities and second language learners. We have been living in Dallas for two years, relocating from Miami, Florida for my husband's work. I truly love teaching and refer to my students as "my babies". It is always my goal to ensure that each student realizes their truest potential and have fun learning along the way.
