Biography

Mrs. Elizabeth Nava, a native of Mobile, Alabama, brings a wide variety of experiences with her to St. Rita. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), she has been a classroom teacher, a long-time catechist, and a literacy coach. She has devoted most of the last ten years to raising her two boys, Thomas and John Michael, ages 8 and 6, and cultivating a love of reading and learning in their home. Additionally, she has a background in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and finds great joy in spending time with young people as they grow in wonder and love for Christ, scripture, and the Church. Her husband, Joe, leads the Math department at Jesuit College Prep and joins her in her love for Catholic education.
