Págame

EL PÁGAME  

(The "Pay Me"... for breaking the rules and taking up Señora Schweitzer's precious class time to be redirected.)

 

You received a Págame in class today.  ¡Qué lástima!  Your weekly grade will be entered as a P (pending págame) until our next class.  If you do not turn in a Págame note by that next class, the P will become a permanent ZERO. 

 

To NOT get a zero, find a piece of loose-leaf, blank paper or stationery.  In your BEST HANDWRITING (no typed letters will be accepted), craft your own apology letter in Spanish in an effort to redeem the zero that you received in class today.  

Your letter must be at least 5 (complete, properly punctuated, Spanish) sentences long to have your grade restored to a 50F.  If you go above and beyond that either in content or in effort put into it (nice paper/card, etc.) you will have the chance to earn additional points up to an 80+.  [If you have more than one págame in a week, the second note will put your weekly grade in the range of 25F - 50F at most.  Three págames in one week will result in a ZERO for that week's Weekly Engagement Grade.] 

 

You may elect to look up other words and formulate a few of your own sentences outside of the suggested options below, but you may NOT have another person help you write it.  I would highly recommend the website www.spanishdict.com for looking up words and phrases.  You may use Google Translate to translate one or two words here and there, but you may NOT use Google Translate to do your entire letter or an entire sentence.  It's very obvious when you use GT to do so and you will receive the ZERO if you do.
