Mrs. Christal Hungle

The 2019-2020 school year is upon us, and I am delighted to be in my third year as part of the wonderful St. Rita Catholic Community. I am very excited to embark on my TENTH year in Catholic education.

From forming relationships to creating presentations, your children will have the opportunity to learn many things, aiding the development of their whole entity: spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.

As a teacher and a mother, I understand the value of communication about our children. Please feel free to contact me between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Conferences are available by appointment.

"We are many parts. We are all one body." Let us work together, with His guidance, to make sure our children strive to earn what they need to succeed.

Biography/Memoir Research Report Project

Students will be responsible for finding a memoir or biography to read between November 11th and December 09th. Then, they will be reading the book between December 9th and January 8th. Once everyone returns from Christmas break, we will begin working on the first component of this report, the notecards. For an overview, please access the attachment. -Mrs. H.

Reading Log

Will begin the week of August 26th, 2019
The student should keep a log of the amount of time they read/listen along with an audio book, what it was, and have a parent's signature. At the end of the "additional reading" (preferably a library book), students will take an AR test. Students will also write a book review using their Chromebooks (Review to be composed in ELAR classes).
This is in addition to the novels we will be studying in class. The logs can also include reading of the classroom novel, as well; however, each student is required to read at least three other books of their choice within the given weeks.

Please make sure to print more than enough copies. Label the log with the criteria below. Keep them in a safe place in your home to fill out for logging purposes.
Criteria for Each Log:
1. Book, Log, AR Test I, and Book Review: August 26th - September 26
2. Book, Log, AR Test II, and Book Review: September 30th - October 30th
3. Book, Log, AR Test III, and Book Review: November 11 - December 9th
